State Robotics Tournament

Alaska FLL Robotics State Championship Tournament
Over the weekend the Finger Lake Elementary robotics club participated in the Alaska FLL Robotics State Championship Tournament. 58 Middle and Elementary schools gathered at Goldenview Middle School in Anchorage to present their animal research project, demonstrate team work/communication and compete in a robotic game challenge. Finger Lake presented their research problem "How to move polar bears and their cubs from their summer breeding grounds to their summer feeding ice pac when roughly 50% of the arctic ice has melted." They received rare reviews from their judges on the project. They were in third place after the first round of the day before finally settling for 13 among the 58 middle and elementary schools in the robotics game. A great showing for our first year.
